EKSC kutsub osalema rahvarõivaste tuulutamisel 16.-18. juunil Chicagos

Kallid eestlased ja sõbrad USAs,

Olete oodatud 16.-18. juunil toimuvale esimesele Põhja-Ameerika rahvarõivaste tuulutamisele. See on esimene sellelaadne üritus, kus on kohal parimad käsitöömeistrid Eestist. Ürituse raames saavad külalised osa võtta pärandtehnoloogia õpitubadest, loeng-esitlusest “Ehtimine rahvarõivaisse”, õnnitleda rahvarõivaste tegemise kursuse lõpetajaid, küsida abi rahvarõiva nõuandekojast, nautida elavat muusikat, rahvatantsu  ja palju muud. Laupäeva õhtul tähistatakse jaanipäeva lõkke süütamise, rahvamängude ja lustaka 7-liikmelise bändi SIRLI-ga Tõstamaalt.

Dear fellow Estonians and friends in US,

Everyone is cordially invited to attend the first ever “airing of the folk dress” weekend in North America on June 16.-18. in Chicago. During the event, people can participate in different handicraft workshops, lectures, folk dress sewing course graduation ceremonies and ask help about their own folk dress or single piece directly from the best estonian craft masters themselves. Additionally, enjoy live music, take part in traditional midsummer celebration with bonfire, dancing, games and so much more. Everyone is encouraged to wear their national clothes and share stories of how they got or inherited them.
