“The West’s Pro-Armenian Pivot Is Complete After The US & EU Openly Took Its Side” last month against Azerbaijan so it was predictable in hindsight that this New Cold War bloc would ramp up Hybrid War operations against that leading South Caucasus country. With a view towards preemptively averting any potential domestic instability or harm to its international reputation, Baku just busted a US Government-funded information warfare operation that was also partially financed by France and Germany.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry published a statement on its official website last week here where it informed everyone that those three Western countries’ ambassadors were warned against continuing to violate the Vienna Convention by illegally funding such information warfare operations. All foreign grants are supposed to be registered with the government, yet those three countries tried going around the law by clandestinely funding a local organization, thus raising serious questions about their intentions.
“Azerbaijan Once Again Warned About The Threat Of French Neo-Colonialism To The South Caucasus” just a week prior to its Foreign Ministry summoning those three countries’ ambassadors, thus showing that it was already well aware of the game being played and was setting the narrative stage for this bust. Germany’s role in this operation can be explained by it being the EU’s de facto leader while America’s is attributable to it being the West’s de facto leader. All three are now trying to undermine Azerbaijan.
It’s a formidable challenge for any country to defend their sovereignty in the face of coordinated attacks by those three powerful Western ones, but Azerbaijan is expected to hold its own and might even punch back if they don’t stop meddling in its domestic affairs. Its society is united and more patriotic as ever following September’s successful one-day anti-terrorist operation that finally liberated the rest of Karabakh from Armenia’s illegal three-decade-long occupation. No amount of meddling will divide it.
President Aliyev has proven himself to be one of Eurasia’s multipolar visionaries in the same league as the Russian, Chinese, and Indian leaders, who collectively form the RIC core of BRICS and the SCO. Azerbaijan wants to be friends with everyone and enemies with no one, to which end it’s emulating India’s multi–alignment policy of balancing between Great Powers, but both of their grand strategic goals are being obstructed by the US.
Just like the West’s de facto leader continues harboring Delhi-designated terrorists-separatists as part of its Machiavellian policy to coerce India into dumping Russia, so too is it doing something similar with respect to Azerbaijan by meddling in its domestic affairs and taking revanchist Armenia under its wing. The pressure being placed upon Baku could theoretically be relieved if it dumps Moscow like Yerevan has practically already done, but there’s also the chance that Washington would then coerce it even more.
In any case, Azerbaijan and India have too much self-respect to capitulate to any foreign country’s blackmail, let alone America’s thuggery against both of them by implying that it’ll back Armenian revanchism against the first and might begin questioning the legal status of Punjab to punish the second. Although Azerbaijan and India have different views on Karabakh and Kashmir, they’ve found themselves under similar pressure from the US, and this is precisely due to them being regional multipolar leaders.
